As a Services Revenue Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting revenue forecasting for our Services business, driving operational excellence, and innovation.
How You Will Contribute
- Analyze data and maintain weekly reports to support the services revenue assurance operating rhythm.
- Develop a clear understanding of revenue recognition models and their application to Services delivery activities.
- Identify major business challenges and risks impacting Services revenue forecasts.
- Build effective partnerships across the organization to ensure alignment on Services revenue state and functional leadership.
- Maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders to share updates on revenue forecasts and risks.
- Assist with monthly and quarter-end financial close processes, including reconciling actuals to forecast.
- Review and enhance existing processes for efficiency and accuracy, supporting new initiatives related to revenue data analytics and validation testing.
The Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue operations, data analysis, or a similar field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data visualization).
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and regions.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with SQL and Anaplan.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Understanding of diverse revenue recognition models.
- Exposure to global operational frameworks and cross-cultural teams.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with financial close processes.

Pay Range
The annual pay range for this position is $71,600 - $114,400.
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
