The Revenue Operations, Sr Associate will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling card scheme costs and merchant revenues across Visa, Mastercard, and other networks. They will support financial reporting, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis through data modeling and collaboration with internal teams. The role ensures accurate recovery of merchant revenues and monitors scheme fee changes.
Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and financial services experience are required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain a high degree of familiarity with Scheme (Visa, Mastercard and others) costs and corresponding revenues generated from Merchants.
- Monitor and reconcile invoices payable to Schemes to validate costs.
- Help internal teams with queries relating to Card Scheme fees and Merchant revenues
- Provide the Finance Control team with timely notifications and accruals for upcoming Card Scheme costs, as well as adjustments related to prior period revenues.
- Supporting effective communication and collaboration between the Card Scheme Relations team, EPayments team and Financial Product team
- Perform various reconciliations to ensure costs and revenue in our reporting/internal systems are in-line. These include management accounts, business analysis tools, invoices, Merchant pricing reports and scheme manuals.
- Monitor recovery levels of pass-through costs and partake in implementation discussions and testing of Card Scheme fees.
- Investigate any anomalies in costs and revenue and produce analysis/workings to explain the fluctuations.
- Keep up to date with Card Scheme fee publications and upcoming projects relating to Merchant revenues.
- Ensure that all our Merchant revenues are duly recovered in accordance with our pricing contracts.
- Reviewing the product offering, keeping track of the company’s revenue and providing recommendations on pricing strategies to increase profitability.
- Developing and maintaining revenue models to determine the impact of pricing changes on profitability.
- Comparing trends from previous periods to determine which pricing changes lead to increased profits.
- Other ad-hoc tasks delegated by the team manager
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics or other related quantitative field
- Strong analytical abilities
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Experience preferably working with statistical tools and models (such as R or Python) as well as Power BI (or similar)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and able to work on own initiative
- Strong attention to detail
- Be a team player, flexible, and able to meet strict deadlines
- Proficient at handling numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience within the Financial Services Industry will be preferred

The range listed for this position reflects the expected hiring range for qualified candidates and corresponds to the level and requirements of the role.
Actual compensation may vary depending on various factors, such as experience, skills, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Shift4’s compensation structures are subject to periodic review and ongoing alignment across regions. Additional components such as variable remuneration or other benefits may also apply based on eligibility and role type.
Salary Range: € 37,500 - € 40,500
