Job Description :
Global Travel (GT) operates in the unique and exclusive Travel Retail (i.e. Duty Free) sector. Often referred to as the sixth continent, Travel Retail has its own set of inhabitants, geography and channels (international airport shops, international land border stores, on-board airlines, ferries and cruise ships, along with some non-retail and diplomatic sales) as well as its own unique commercial landscape (operating 24/7 across multiple languages and currencies with 200+ nationalities travelling annually).
From Bhutan to Botswana and from Venezuela to Vietnam, GT is the only market in Diageo which offers global scope and market accountability. Responsible for representing and selling Diageo products in more than 110 countries around the world, and with access to billions of potential shoppers globally, we are a strategically important market for Diageo in terms of both profit and NSV.
Dimensions:

Embed end-to-end planning, linking industry insights, market strategy, consumer planning, brand marketing and commercial sales to deliver an aligned growth plan

Champion the RGM transformation: embedding the growth framework across customers and categories, and supporting value creation via headline and net pricing opportunities

Managing complexity: working across selling divisions and functions to embed RGM discipline across their respective units, sharing and embedding best practices
Top Accountabilities:

Partner with Commercial leaders to embed RGM ways of thinking and processes, including planning and Business Performance Management routines that monitor progress against the growth agenda

Understand and enable market decisions based on trade-offs between market share, volume, sales, price, mix and profit to deliver market results

Help drive joint value creation conversations with our customers by grounding our thinking in driving value for Diageo, our customers and their customers based on shopper insights

Partner with the global team to grow capabilities and share best practices

Lead RGM sprints to define revenue and margin enhancement opportunities around pack, price, promotion, channels

Develop RGM capability and processes across the market, including through development of data tools, systems and processes
Experience / skills required:
-
5+ years of experience in RGM or related fields requiring commercial and financial acumen

Strong familiarity with the P&L and its levers, plus expertise in one or more of: pricing / promotion planning, tool development, trade terms optimization, promotional effectiveness

Demonstrated ability to perform advanced analysis and using results to deliver outcomes through influencing skills

Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity in a matrixed environment
