    As a Responsible Data & AI Program lead, you are a dynamic leader, looking to manage a critical and innovative program. You’re interested in ensuring that strategy meets execution, leading a team that formulates pragmatic approaches for responsible Data & AI on a global scale in a rapidly changing AI landscape. Your role includes setting and driving the adoption of Data Governance and RAISE standards within Sanofi, ensuring you balance theoretical possibilities with technical realities, program management (leading highly important projects in white spaces as well as providing oversight for selected program areas), and support delivery of quality work. 

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Lead the definition of the Responsible AI team’s roadmap, ensuring clarity, budget alignment, resource allocation, and strategic alignment with Sanofi's evolving priorities

    • Serve as the central RAISE team leader, owning the strategic direction and program management of major Responsible Data & AI initiatives across communications, upskilling, risk management processes, and governance.

    • Collaborate closely with platform product owners to synchronize on tooling and technologies

    • Collaborate closely with Data & AI product owners and developers to define and adopt technical controls that will allow for responsibility-by-design  

    • Drive and monitor global business adoption of responsible Data & AI standards in a governance office structure, leading steering committees, councils and focus groups with a diverse set of stakeholders 

    • Engage Sanofi resources around the world in increasing the responsible Data & AI literacy and awareness and adoption of communications and upskilling 

    • Facilitate the scalable deployment of responsible Data & AI processes across various Global Business Units and functional areas.

    • Mobilize and leverage resources across the organization to ensure the successful delivery of Responsible Data & AI priorities and objectives.

    • Oversee the day-to-day business operations for the Responsible Data & AI portfolio, integrating seamlessly with its network of specialists across Legal, Privacy, Ethics, Digital, Social Responsibility, etc.

    • Define and implement a long-term sustainable global operating model for Data & AI governance

    • Influence Sanofi’s policies and external thought leadership on Responsible Data & AI 

    About You

    You should have experience with a few of the below, but we don’t expect all of them. If you’re missing some qualifications but believe your experience is transferable and you have a passion for the role, please do apply.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in strategy and transformation/implementation of large-scale AI programs. Understanding of, and interest in, the evolving AI regulatory landscape and emerging Responsible AI governance and compliance requirements.

    Soft and technical skills:

    • Demonstrated experience in data and analytics/management consulting with a focus on Data Governance and Responsible AI preferred.

    • Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge the gap between data analytics and ethical business imperatives.

    • Proficiency in techno-functional data capabilities such as security, privacy, cloud, data science, with a specific emphasis on responsible data practices.

    • Proficiency in Data Governance (metadata management, data quality, data access, master data) and AI/ML (model management, model serving, MLOps) concepts and implementations

    • Relationship-oriented individual with excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels to champion Responsible Data & AI initiatives. 

    • Storyteller with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling narratives  

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in business, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), or equivalent experience, with preferred experience in standing up Responsible AI principles and practices.

    • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with the autonomy to navigate Responsible Data & AI challenges creatively and proactively. Effective written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on articulating Responsible Data & AI strategies and outcomes clearly and persuasively. 

    • Certification in PMP, ASM-Agile Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master/Product Owner (CSM, CSPO, SAFe) preferred, with a solid understanding of agile

    • English (fluent) mandatory
