We are seeking a Response Team Specialist to join our team. 

Starting Salary: $46,000 - $50,000 (Salary)

We are seeking a Response Team Specialist to join our team.  Your role will serve as the strategic point person for the agency in conducting immediate and ongoing procedures to find and engage missing clients in order to return them to supervised care. Your role will continue engagement efforts after clients return in order to repair relationships, stabilize placements and help prevent future episodes.  As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Manager of Independent Living.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Follows legal custodian procedures as outlined in manuals/contracts for missing and runaway clients.
  • Utilizes all appropriate means to locate missing clients.
  • Coordinates with local, state, and federal agencies to organize search efforts.
  • Engages electronic systems, paper charts and team members to review and become familiar with the client’s case and history in order to develop client specific search strategies.
  • Searches for clients at various locations (knocking on doors, drive through areas last seen,contacting communities of friends, relatives, prior placements, school personnel, etc.)

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have up to 3 years of child welfare or crisis intervention experience and the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, criminal justice or other related fields is required.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
