A CourtAvenue Resource Manager partners with the Client Operations team and all Department Heads to manage resourcing and ensure all projects are sufficiently staffed most efficiently for success. The Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring that work is distributed in a balanced manner between resources within departments. The Resource Manager is also responsible for designing and implementing specific internal and client reporting needs, as well as driving profitability by working with internal teams to improve client and resource management efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the input of accurate data into the Program Management tool, NetSuite. This responsibility includes understanding the complexity of the job set up to ensure proper project classifications and assignments, in partnership with the PM and finance.
  • Collaborate with PMO on planning and allocating resources for a project, both signed and expected work to be signed; support PMO in ongoing project resource management efforts.
  • Work with Client Operations to provide accurate data to determine the organization's demand for resources both in billability and utilization and ensure its capacity to meet staffing needs of projects.
  • Alongside department heads, provide recommendations and assign employees to projects based on their skills, previous experience, availability, and project budget.
  • Train new employees on resourcing, timesheets, and project management tool.
  • Manage new/changed traffic requests daily in real-time.
  • Lead weekly meeting to review upcoming resource allocation and balance workloads.
  • Follow up with team members to ensure resourcing is planned accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Understand upcoming project and timeline needs and manage resource forecasting.
  • Ensure department leads and executive team have visibility into current and upcoming staffing needs.
  • Create dashboards and report on agency efficiency, utilization, and department KPIs.
  • Create dashboards and report on department and project profitability.
  • Manage freelancer and contractor hours, and utilization rates, flagging if teams are underutilized.
  • Collaborate with the PMO to provide burn trends insight to inform future project scoping.
  • Work with the PMO in order to provide detailed client-facing project burn reporting.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of traffic management, operations, project management and/or analyst experience
  • Agency experience required
  • A proven track record of managing resources, working across multiple teams
  • Intuitive and perceptive, with outstanding communications skills; comfortable and confident in discussions with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel: Proficient in advanced functions and formulas to perform VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphs and data capture
  • Understanding of project workflows and project management tools

Work Environment

  • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work in an office environment in the middle of the week and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Candidates for this position should be located near our main office hubs in Cincinnati, OH or San Diego, CA.
