We are looking for a Resource Development Manager to join our team who is passionate in helping team members grow their skills and careers. This role will be critical in managing and optimizing the performance and development of resources within the organization. You will work closely with the HR Director, the Learning & Development team, and the Engineering team to establish and execute development plans, performance reviews, and resource allocation strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance life cycle of all resources across the organization, ensuring effective tracking of their development, engagement, and utilization in projects
  • Assist engineering leadership in assessing project resource needs and ensuring effective allocation of resources
  • Partner with the L&D team to help create tailored upskilling plans that enhance the technical competencies across all resources
  • Monitor adherence to upskilling plans, ensuring resources complete their training and development tasks within specified timelines
  • Collaborate with team supervisors and client directors to define clear performance goals and expectations for all resources, aligning them with organizational objectives and project requirements
  • Mentor employees to foster relationship-building, effective communication, and positive attitude toward professional development and feedback
  • Manage performance review cycles to ensure feedback sessions are thorough, consistent across supervisors, address improvement areas, and recognize accomplishments
  • Oversee the performance lifecycle process to ensure it aligns with company needs and that procedures are adequate for successful completion
  • Liaise with unallocated resources, the L&D team, and the engineering leadership to foster supervision and define goals while out of project cycle
  • Provide regular updates to the HR Director regarding resource performance, development progress, and any challenges encountered
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement in both individual and team performance and present recommendations to the executive team

Qualifications:

  • Experience with resource performance life-cycle management, including tracking progress and engagement strategies
  • Experience working closely with engineering or technical teams to understand project needs and facilitate effective resource allocation
  • Experience collaborating with Learning & Development (L&D) teams to enhance skill sets and competencies
  • Experience with mentoring line and supervisory staff and with creating a positive culture around learning and feedback
  • Experience in using data analytics to identify performance trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in resource development
  • Experience setting up processes and tools to monitor progress and compliance
  • Strong data visualization skills to effectively communicate insights
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and skill requirements

  • Analytical mindset with a passion for using data and analytics to drive decisions, identify trends, and improve processes. Ability to deal with people and understand various personality types, ability to relate, encourage and motivate people

  • Ability to effectively negotiate to reach an agreement and deal with conflict productively
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to manage time, multiple projects and competing deadlines

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/ IT Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Over 7 years of experience in supervising, managing and mentoring, preferably in a technical or engineering environment
