Role
Amanpuri, Aman’s iconic flagship property in Thailand, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Resort Manager to oversee the operations of this renowned property. This role demands a well-rounded leader with a strong operational and analytical acumen to ensure the smooth, efficient and profitable running of the hotel while delivering exceptional guest experience. The Resort Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects, including F&B, Rooms, Spa, Retail, Security, Engineering, ensuring the hotel meets its performance goals. The position requires overseeing the team, implementing policies, maintaining high service standards and driving business growth through effective financial and operational management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver strategic objectives and operational excellence across all resort functions.
- Maintain exceptional guest experiences through proactive engagement, needs anticipation, and swift resolution of concerns.
- Oversee villa operations, ensuring Amanpuri’s standards and Villa Management Agreement requirements are consistently met.
- Lead, mentor and develop departmental managers across all operational areas, fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to optimise financial performance without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular property and villa inspections, identifying service gaps and driving continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to optimise occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development for all operational teams.
- Act as Acting General Manager in their absence and lead assigned projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, including at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role.
- Prior work experience in resorts in Asia is preferred, with an adaptable leadership style for diverse cultural contexts.
- Exceptional guest-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire trust and loyalty.
- Strong financial management abilities, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems such as Opera PMS.
- Proven ability to lead multi-departmental teams in delivering excellence under pressure.
- Deep commitment to brand standards, service quality, and operational precision.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as operational needs require.
