The Scoops Research team plays a key role in researching, verifying, publishing, and improving on ZoomInfo’s best-in-class B2B data product offerings. We are currently looking for a Scoops Research Specialist I to join the team.
ZoomInfo Scoops is a core product feature that captures important signals such as breaking news, strategic projects, funding, events and pain points of tens of thousands of companies. Your ability to review content for relevancy and implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure accuracy, as well as analyze, edit, and produce public-facing Scoops from a variety of sources and data formats is essential. Your keen eye for detail and comfort with large data sets are assets that contribute directly to ZoomInfo's reputation for data excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop a foundational understanding of how ZoomInfo's data product and Scoops workflow. Gain a deeper expertise in specific focus areas relevant to your role (e.g., product launch, executive moves, mergers and acquisitions, earnings, etc.), ensuring a thorough grasp of the data and projects within those areas.
- Utilize online resources and internal support tools to gather information relevant to Go To Market (GTM) audiences (our core clients). This involves verifying and updating details such as breaking news as well as providing quality assurance on ZoomInfo’s proprietary data assets.
- Accurate and timely input of collected data into ZoomInfo's system using various internal tools to maintain the relevance and freshness of the Scoops data.
- Undertake various research projects as assigned, which may include (but are not limited to) data cleanup initiatives, testing the health of data sets, and evaluating the performance of data models generated for automation and optimization. These projects contribute to improving the overall volume, quality and reliability of ZoomInfo's Scoops and related data offerings.
What You’ll Bring:
- Associate’s degree in areas of market research, applied social sciences, economics, business or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience
- Some experience in data processing or market research function, focus on secondary research a plus
- Computer and research skills; beginner skills in Google Sheets / Excel
- Attention to details; ability to detect minor errors in data and make good decisions in ambiguous situations
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and passionate to grow with the team
