What You'll Do
In this role, you will work as a member of the Knowledge Management (KM) team in the Research Sciences department. The KM team is responsible for developing and codifying Flatiron expertise and best practices into effective internal tools and online documentation leveraged by our data users. KM's work enables research scientists and statistical programmers to more efficiently deliver rigorous real-world evidence for our life science partners.
In this role you will:

  • Become a subject matter expert in our data and its capabilities, across a variety of different modalities including EHR-derived real-world data, clinico-genomics data, and more
  • Continue to develop a deeper understanding of real-world data and related methodologies used to generate real-world evidence
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team (e.g., solution managers, oncologists, clinical data specialists, software engineers) to develop technical resources for data users to drive adoption of Flatiron Health methodology and best practices
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives that introduce efficiency into our ways of working and accelerate our ability to generate evidence for our clients


Who You Are
You're a kind, collaborative problem-solver. In addition, you can simultaneously think analytically and effectively communicate complex topics to a wide range of audiences. You are excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day.

  • You hold a Master's degree with 4-5 years of industry experience; or PhD (or equivalent) in epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and outcomes (HEOR) research, or related field with 1-2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • You have previously analyzed observational data (e.g., registries, healthcare claims, or electronic health records)
  • You are an effective oral and written communicator who enjoys developing technical yet accessible content for consumption by diverse audiences
  • You are excited about designing pedagogically effective documentation, trainings, and other technical tools that will enable our data users in a scalable manner
  • You are proficient in R (or another programming language with a commitment to becoming an expert in R)
  • You have effective organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills so you can plan and implement multiple high-visibility projects in a timely fashion in a dynamic, diverse environment
  • You are able to quickly learn and apply new information, skills, and procedures
  • You are passionate about our mission to improve healthcare through technology

Job Compensation Range
Salary Range: $132,000.00 - $198,000.00
Preferred Primary Location: Raleigh-Durham Office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
