Baptist Health is looking for a Research Project Coordinator to join our team in Lexington, KY
The Project Coordinator will serve as a key resource within the Baptist Health Research (BHR) program, providing assistance to internal Baptist providers, research leadership, and staff, as well as to external research sponsors, collaborators, and vendors, for the setup and ongoing oversight of study procurement and onboarding across a diverse clinical research portfolio. Housed within the BHR administrative team, this position supports a wide range of clinical divisions and therapeutic areas, with studies funded by NIH, industry, foundations, and other sources. The Project Coordinator acts as a liaison to ensure the efficient, compliant, and timely initiation of clinical research studies by facilitating feasibility reviews, including completion of sponsor questionnaires and data-driven site assessments, coordinating pre-study and site initiation activities, and overseeing study onboarding processes. This role initiates, develops, and maintains relationships with key central research contacts to promote smooth startup operations and ongoing study support. In collaboration with investigators, staff, and research leadership, the Project Coordinator supports the development and implementation of strategies, tools, and plans for managing the clinical trial portfolio. The position also plays a role in tracking protocol progress through regulatory and operational milestones and works collaboratively with functional group representatives across multiple therapeutic areas to promote operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years job related experience
- Experience in clinical research, research, or project management
- Certification through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) required, and/or obtained during the first 2-years of employment.
