Reporting to: Research Analyst

Location: New Delhi office

Duration: 6- 9 months

Project Title - Indigenising the manufacturing of advanced chemistry cell and its components 

Job Duties and Accountabilities

Research and analysis

  • Go through existing literature to understand the manufacturing processes, equipment, input materials and required skills for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, cells, active and passive materials and components. 

  • Understand and identify similarities with other processes from major domestic industries. 

  • Develop understanding for the different grades of battery components and materials, and their relevant standards and testing procedures.

  • Analyse component and material standards and testing procedures for batteries followed in other countries.     

Programme Assistance

  • Track business, and technological developments in the energy storage industry. 

  • Assist with programme structuring and project implementation, including preparing presentations, factsheets and other communication material.

  • Assist with the ongoing projects of the team by compiling data and providing relevant analysis. 

Selection Criteria


Qualification


  • Masters degree or a bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical/energy engineering.

  • Significant interest in chemical and mechanical manufacturing processes at an industrial scale. 


Work Experience


  • Final year student or with one year experience.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the energy storage sector and associated manufacturing processes. 

  • Strong work management and prioritisation skills.

  • Ability to ‘connect the dots’ between research and real-world developments.

  • Interest in adding value in conversations, meetings and interactions.
