Position Description
The Research Associate is responsible for providing support to the research function in the office. The incumbent is primarily responsible to work with a senior research analyst and assist in fundamental research on companies. The research activities include report writing, financial modelling and maintaining of multiple data base.
The Research Associate should view their role as an integral part of the team’s success. Effective teamwork contributors; actively generate ideas for the teams development; communicate issues that require action; support each other and ask for help when needed.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Assist Senior Analysts on covering a diverse sectors such as Industrials, Healthcare and Internet.
Perform due diligence, writing research reports and condensing research ideas in PPT.
Maintain databases of economic and industry specific data.
Accompany clients on visits; produce notes on all visits..
Maintain sound working relationships with Corporates, Clients, the Government, and industry organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in Business related discipline, preferably with Finance and/or Accounting major.
- 1-2 years experience as a Research Associate or related experience in large Accountancy firm is an added advantage.
- Understanding of financial modelling.
- Strong Excel/ spreadsheet skills.
- Excellent Problem solving and analytical Skills.
- Excellent Interpersonal Sensitivity.
- High sense of Commercial Awareness.
- Excellent communication, relationship and management skills to both internal and external clients.
