About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
The Research Assistant will support a cross-institutional research collaboration between Northeastern University and the University of California, Irvine focused on experiential workplace learning and equitable college-to-career transitions. This position will contribute to a multi-faceted study examining employer engagement in Northeastern’s Co-op program and will play a key role in data coordination, relationship management, and project execution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, public policy, or related field required; Master’s degree or graduate coursework preferred.
Experience with stakeholder relationship management, preferably in higher education or workforce development.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage concurrent tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced research environment.
Familiarity with survey tools (Qualtrics), qualitative data organization, or administrative data sets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SPSS, R, or NVivo a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of experiential education, workforce development, or career services research preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support data collection and management related to employer engagement and Co-op programming, including quantitative administrative data and qualitative survey and interview data.
Maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships with university stakeholders, employer contacts, and research partners at UCI.
Coordinate outreach and scheduling for employer surveys and interviews.
Organize and track research activities across project phases, maintaining timelines, project documentation, and deliverables.
Assist with data cleaning and basic data analysis; support preparation of reports, policy briefs, and presentations.
Prepare meeting materials and summaries for internal and external dissemination.
Duration:
This is a one-year fixed-term position, with the possibility of renewal based on funding and project needs.

$47,890.00 - $65,848.75With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
