We are looking for a Research Assistant to join Dogs Trust.
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Research Assistant to support the Cohort Studies Team. The team runs two large longitudinal studies: Generation Pup and the Post-Adoption Welfare study.

What does this role do?
As Research Assistant, you’ll:
  • Complete manual data entry tasks.
  • Perform data cleaning and basic analyses.
  • Contribute to a variety of outputs such as internal reports and slide decks.
  • Test surveys in development.
  • Contribute to other study maintenance and reporting tasks.

Could this be you?
The Research Assistant post is well suited to someone with a strong science background and an interest in dog welfare and behaviour. You will have a good understanding and experience of relevant research methods. You will also have knowledge related to quantitative data analysis, ideally including use of R (or equivalent). You will have experience of working collaboratively to conduct research within project timelines. You’ll have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. You will have excellent communication skills and experience dealing with study participants or stakeholders. You’ll have strong IT skills and a good understanding of relevant ethical issues.
This role is a fixed-term contract until August 2027. The role is hybrid, with travel to the London office required once every fortnight.

Interviews for this role are scheduled for August 17th and 18th online via teams.

Skills Required

  • Strong science background and interest in dog welfare and behaviour.
  • Good understanding and experience of relevant research methods.
