Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support a research project in sustainable operations management. 

The position will involve designing and administering surveys and conducting semi-structured interviews with industry professionals, including purchasing managers, sustainability managers,  and representatives of buying brands and supplier firms. The Research Assistant will work closely with the principal investigator throughout the study.

The ideal candidate will combine research discipline with persistence and tact in external outreach. Because participant recruitment is central to the project, the successful applicant should be comfortable contacting professionals, following up respectfully, and building relationships with industry associations and firms.
 

Qualifications:
Current or recent graduate student in management, sustainability, economics, sociology, or a related discipline.

Prior experience with surveys, interviews, qualitative research is ideal.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Professionalism and confidence in communicating with managers and industry participants.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain research records.
