RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project TEACH (Tailored Education for Aging and Cognitive Health) is an NIH-funded research project focused on developing a new intervention to promote health behaviors that can lower risk for Alzheimer’s disease. We are seeking a full-time research assistant. Responsibilities include: - Conducting research activities in conjunction with project staff, including recruiting eligible participants, conducting qualitative interviews, and collecting data. - Reviewing literature pertaining to research being conducted in the scientific area of interest. - Performing routine data maintenance as required, including scoring, coding, and entering data into computer database. - Establishing and maintaining accurate study records ensuring and respecting confidentiality. - May review medical records to abstract information necessary to complete study forms Research assistants will gain experience with intervention development, qualitative methods, and clinical trials methods. There will be opportunities to collaborate on conference presentations or publications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related area - At least 6 months of clinical research experience, preferably in psychology or health sciences (can be part of school-related experience) - Strong interpersonal skills - Organizational skills to manage multiple projects - Proficiency with Office 365 required. - Written and spoken Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.
Pay Range:
