Please note: This is a 5-hour per week, fixed term contract for 12 weeks

About the Role: 
On behalf of the Departments of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Recreation and Leisure Studies Drs. John Krzeczkowski, Farhana Madhani and Alisa Grigorovich, Members of the ART Initiative, have completed a self-study report of each of our departments. The self-study project aimed to survey students to better understand i) student feelings of inclusion/classroom experiences, ii) feelings of representation at Brock, and iii) provide information on inclusivity and representation in Brock’s student recruitment strategies. The survey was developed in collaboration with FAHS students and results will inform ways to build inclusive spaces and equity in our programs and be used to help guide improvements in student experiences in our departments. The Research Assistant will analyze both qualitative and quantitative data from this report as well as engage in the following activities: 

  • Download the survey results excel data file and analyze and report on collected data (i.e., the survey report would be written in word doc format, including tables or figures which would be visually appealing) for three departments.
  • Collaborate with Dr. Krzeczkowski, Madhani and Grigorovich upon most useful data for summary statistics or demographic comparison statistics (i.e., include an overview of the sample profile for each department and comparison across all three.
  • Draw upon 4-5 key results of interest, including (simple) qualitative analyses, deepening analysis on evident themes for each department and comparison across all three.
  • Develop and present a poster presentation of the above analyses in May 2026 at the annual conference of the Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research (https://cahspr.ca).

Key skills and Experience 

  • A completed master’s degree in any field 
  • Knowledge of and experience with Qualtrics survey software
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS,Qualtrics)
  • Quantitative data management
  • Experience creating infographics and reports
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Compensation

  • $27.50 per hour
