Position Summary:

  • Conducts and manage research project using established funded protocol and procedures with minimal supervision from PI.

  • Oversees and assists with the development and execution of questionnaires, recruitment and training of interviewers, data collection, test administration (EPDS), conducts qualitative interviews, planning and preparation of research documentation, compilation of data and recruitment of students and participants.

  • Recommends and implements improvements to existing interviews and methods, organization of lab meetings. Analysis and interpretation of research data and dissemination of the results, writes research reports, conference presentation, articles related to research activities.

  • Responsible for the quality and results of their own work.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to research staff, including Research Assistants level 1, Student Research Assistants in the execution of research tasks related to the research project. 

  • Performs various administrative tasks related to the project including budget, communications with team & collaborators and manage work related to requests from the ethic board of the CIUSSS on NAGANO.

  • Work is mainly in French (level 4 for written and spoken French) and level 2 for written and spoken English. Manage and coordinate a SSHRC grant reporting to the PI.

Qualifications:
Master's degree and training in sociology will be an asset. Relevant experience as research coordinator and community.

Other Qualifying Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communicator in written and spoken French (level 4) with research team, collaborators, students, research participants.

  • Intermediate level (level 2) in written and spoken English.

  • Excellent skills in organization, logistics, leadership and autonomy.

  • Good knowledge of the feminist and critical literature in sociology, social determinants of reproductive & mental health of women.

  • Knowledge: WORD, EXCEL, CLAUDE AI, DISTILLER-SR, ZOOM.
