Research Analyst– Sustainable Food Systems (full-time)
New Delhi
India faces a multi-faceted challenge as it aims to become a
developed country by 2047. To achieve this, the nation's food system must
simultaneously deliver on environmental sustainability, resilient livelihoods,
and improved nutrition. While leading food and beverage companies are setting
ambitious net-zero and ESG targets, holistic food system transformation has yet to become central to that journey.
To address this gap, CEEW is establishing the Coalition for
Sustainable Food Systems 2045. This initiative is designed to catalyse and
scale voluntary, outcome-based actions within the private sector. It seeks to
bring coherence to the sustainable sourcing agenda, elevate nutrition as a
corporate priority, and align India’s food sector with global disclosure and reporting requirements.

The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) is an India-based, globally engaged, independent and non-partisan not-for-profit policy research institution and think tank. It analyses critical questions concerning energy, environment and water, using data, integrated analysis and strategic outreach to influence resource use and sustainable development. CEEW conducts high-quality research and advises policymakers across India and the Global South through evidence-based public engagement.
