Position Description

We are looking for an analyst to provide stock coverage in the small/mid cap space within the Singapore listed market. The analyst will provide stock recommendations and produce reports based on thorough analysis, financial models and company/industry insights. The analyst must be able to present & market effectively, externally to fund managers and clients and, internally to institutional sales and sales traders.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and differentiated research on the small cap sector

  • Develop financial models & valuation databases for all stocks under primary coverage

  • Respond to market news, earnings releases, corporate developments and other market-moving information when necessary and in a proactive manner

  • Develop and maintain key client relationships

  • Actively engage with clients and the relevant sales team members to communicate ideas to ensure maximum exposure/return from the time invested in producing research reports

  • Maintain sound working relationships with Corporates, Clients, the Government, and industry organizations

  • Effective teamwork contribution; actively generate ideas for the teams development; communicate issues that require action. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in Business related discipline, preferably with Finance and/or Accounting major

  • Minimum 6 years experience as a Research Associate/Analyst, independently covering stocks

  • Sound understanding of financial modelling

  • Strong Excel/ spreadsheet skills

  • Excellent Problem solving and analytical Skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal Sensitivity

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • High sense of Commercial Awareness

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
