Position Description
We are looking for an analyst to provide stock coverage in the small/mid cap space within the Singapore listed market. The analyst will provide stock recommendations and produce reports based on thorough analysis, financial models and company/industry insights. The analyst must be able to present & market effectively, externally to fund managers and clients and, internally to institutional sales and sales traders.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Provide proactive and differentiated research on the small cap sector
Develop financial models & valuation databases for all stocks under primary coverage
Respond to market news, earnings releases, corporate developments and other market-moving information when necessary and in a proactive manner
Develop and maintain key client relationships
Actively engage with clients and the relevant sales team members to communicate ideas to ensure maximum exposure/return from the time invested in producing research reports
Maintain sound working relationships with Corporates, Clients, the Government, and industry organizations
Effective teamwork contribution; actively generate ideas for the teams development; communicate issues that require action.
Requirements
Bachelor degree or above in Business related discipline, preferably with Finance and/or Accounting major
Minimum 6 years experience as a Research Associate/Analyst, independently covering stocks
Sound understanding of financial modelling
Strong Excel/ spreadsheet skills
Excellent Problem solving and analytical Skills
Excellent Interpersonal Sensitivity
Strong relationship management skills
High sense of Commercial Awareness
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
