THE ROLE
The Messari Summer Internship is a program like no other - offering emerging talent an immersive introduction to Messari’s Research realm. Interns will be mentored by some of the greatest minds in crypto, work on impactful research assignments and participate in exclusive Messari events.
Based at our New York headquarters, this hybrid, paid internship, runs from June 3 - August 8, with in-office days required Tuesday - Thursday and optional WFH on Monday and Friday.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Conduct comprehensive and in-depth research specific to projects
- Deepen your understanding of various relevant aspects of the crypto industry, including technology, legal and regulatory.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess the performance of protocols
- Co-author long-form research reports that inform decision-making by institutional clients
- Contribute to the knowledge base repository and sector-level reports.
- Participate in research meetings and work closely with experienced analysts
WHO YOU ARE:
- Must be a rising junior, senior or May 2025 graduate at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Have a pronounced interest in the crypto sector, familiar with its major themes and sectors, along with a basic understanding of various crypto assets and projects
- Exhibit strong communication skills, with the capability to articulate your ideas clearly and concisely in plain English
- Resourceful, curious, and able to think critically and independently
- Relentless attention to detail with a strong desire to deliver a high-quality product
- Strong quantitative skills
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
- Structured Learning: The program begins with a one-week intensive training, featuring workshops on technical concepts and advanced research techniques. This foundational week equips you with the essential skills needed for your upcoming research projects.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Regular one-on-one mentor meetings and direct engagement with the Director of Research to refine your skills and explore career opportunities.
- Hands-On Research: Tackle real-world, substantive research projects that hone analytical and writing skills.
- Team Building & Networking: Enjoy social events and team-building activities that foster connections within Messari and the broader crypto community.
COMPENSATION:
This paid internship offers a prorated salary based on a $70,000 annualized rate (June 3 – August 8, 2025), reflecting our commitment to investing in top talent.
Candidates MUST reside in New York City for the duration of the program. Messari does not provide financial assistance for moving or living expenses.
