About the Role
As a Research Analyst, you are an established market analyst who takes full ownership of end-to-end project delivery within Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Opportunity Analytics (GOA) framework. This role goes beyond research—it’s about driving insights, engaging with clients, and becoming a subject matter expert in your industry vertical.
In addition to leading GOA deliverables, you’ll be increasingly involved in high-impact, interactive GOA initiatives such as Frost Radar benchmarking studies, client presentations, Analyst Briefings, and Mover & Shaker interviews. You’ll also contribute to strategic Custom Solutions (CSD) and Growth Advisory (GA) projects.
Your core mission is to deepen your market expertise, strengthen client engagement, and deliver actionable intelligence that helps organizations identify and seize growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Research & Analysis - Conducts primary and secondary research, market segmentations and forecasts, and is able to identify and analyse growth opportunities under manager's guidance
- Content Creation - Takes personal responsibility for his/her own GOA deliverables from end-to-end. Provides content to feed into the Practice Area's GPS offering and Best Practices Award program. Main focus is on identification and analysis of market growth opportunities.
- Thought Leadership and Visibility - Uses his/her growing market expertise to prepares and supports client presentations and briefings. Delivers Analyst Briefings with other team members.
- Client Interactivity and Growth Coaching - Will gain experience and skills through working directly with clients on GPS interactive hours and analyst enquiry time. Client interactivity will be supported and supervised by senior analysts and Program management.
- GPS Interactive Hours - Addresses client questions, uses GPS interactive hours to generate added value insights and provides inputs to generate growth opportunities for GPS clients.
Required Competencies
The Successful candidate will have an educational background in business and market research in the technology domain. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
- A relevant university degree in Business, marketing, or technology. A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) is highly regarded and considered an advantage.
- 1 – 3 years of analyst/consulting working experience within a Consulting and/or Advisory services business environment.
- The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
- A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies, data models and analysis, and business modelling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
- A foundational understanding of the ICT industry, such as industry structure, operational practices, pricing, value chain, and competitive landscapes.
- Good understanding and excel on developing deliverables with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the ICT industry to become a respected thought leader.
- The ability to network to create new relationships and to proactively manage on-going relationships to stay relevant to market intelligence needs of the clients.
- An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
- Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.
- Are Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Take ownership to work independently with remote supervision
- Can multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Are disciplined and adhere to high-quality standards
