Job Purpose
To supervise and coordinate the collection, organization, processing, and analysis of breeding research data to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery in support of breeding trials, germplasm evaluation, and replanting programs.
Job Description
A. Research Data Management
Supervise and verify data submission from field operations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Gather and organise all relevant trial information, including maps and Panduan Tanaman, during the replanting process.
Maintain and manage breeding data, reports, and records in the designated data storage room.
Collect and update information on germplasm and mother palms from field operations for database integration.
Provide support services by supplying requested data, reports, or summaries to researchers and management.
Plan and coordinate sampling schedules and related logistics with the field operation team to ensure efficient data collection.
B. Research Data Processing & Analysis
Supervise data entry, verification, and quality control to ensure accuracy and standardisation of breeding data.
Manage data storage, backup, and database updates in line with R&D data management protocols.
Oversee monthly and annual data processing and statistical analysis in collaboration with researchers.
Prepare and compile processed data sets, summaries, and preliminary analysis results for researcher review and reporting.
Recommend improvements to data management workflows to enhance efficiency, reliability, and traceability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma in Agriculture, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in research data management, preferably in agricultural or plantation R&D.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, statistical software (e.g., R, SAS), and database systems.
Strong organisational and supervisory skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, researchers, and management.
