Job DescriptionTo ensure Wise's compliance with local regulatory and legal obligations by handling judicial orders, financial secrecy requests, and regulatory reporting with exceptional accuracy and precision. This role acts as an official representative of Wise (both Corretora and Pagamentos) in legal and regulatory correspondence, managing highly sensitive processes that carry significant legal and procedural weight.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in ensuring Wise's compliance with local regulations by managing court orders, financial secrecy requests, and regulatory reporting with exceptional precision. Acting as an official representative for both Corretora and Pagamentos, you will gather and analyze sensitive data to execute critical judicial processes, ensuring strict adherence to legal obligations and protecting the integrity of our services.
Handle judicial orders through the SISBAJUD and BC Correio systems.
Execute critical and time-sensitive processes including account blocking and unblocking, and fund transfers to judicial accounts.
Respond to official requests from regulatory and judicial bodies involving financial secrecy, acting in the name of Wise in strict accordance with current legislation (LC nº 105/2001, BCB Circular nº 3.454/10).
Prepare and submit official responses to breach of secrecy cases. This process requires the specialist to:
Transmit proof of their work relationship (e.g., Workday screenshot).
Disclose their personal identification document to validate their authority to respond on behalf of Wise.
Officially sign documents and responses on behalf of the company, reflecting a high level of personal accountability and legal responsibility.
Manage and process reports for regulatory bodies with a high level of accuracy and precision.
Maintain meticulous records of all official interactions and case handling according to company and legal standards.
Constantly review regulatory processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and compliance.
Follow all set guidelines while handling highly sensitive data and data security procedures across all processes.
Maintain clear and simple communication both with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Finance, Compliance) and external regulatory bodies.
Take full ownership of regulatory cases and follow up consistently to ensure resolution.
Understand company expectations and how this role contributes to the Wise mission.
Accountable for their own development, performance, and efficiency.
Requirements
Fluent in Portuguese (verbal and written) and Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Exceptional level of accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
Strong sense of integrity and a clear understanding of the legal and procedural implications of the role.
Ability to handle highly sensitive information and personal data (including one's own) with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Proven experience in a compliance, legal operations, paralegal, or regulatory reporting role is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Brazilian financial regulations and systems (e.g., SISBAJUD, BC Correio) is a significant advantage.
Ability to work independently, manage complex cases, and make decisions under pressure.
Able to keep up with constant change, patient and flexible.
