Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Reporting Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Intercompany balances, while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. The position requires strong technical accounting skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
You will contribute to process improvements, compliance with accounting standards, and delivery of meaningful financial insights that support decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register, monthly depreciation, and WIP in SAP
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for assigned legal entities
- Prepare and post journals (payroll, accruals, prepayments, FX revaluations, etc.) in SAP
- Handle intercompany invoicing (including recharges) and reconciliations; manage monthly uploads in Co-Process (Group Intercompany Netting tool)
- Submit monthly reporting packs into HFM (Group consolidation tool), ensuring compliance with group and regional requirements
- Perform and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve open items
- Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams in managing complex vendor and customer reconciliations
- Support VAT, tax declarations, and other statutory reporting obligations
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and group policies
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes
- Contribute to documentation and strengthening of internal controls
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including automation, system enhancement and other ad-hoc project work
- Maintain full oversight of accounting processes, making sure financial aspects are accurate and aligned, while monitoring variances versus historical trends.
- Ensure accurate filing, documentation, and archiving of accounting records
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP
- Experience with SAP and HFM (or similar ERP/consolidation tools)
- Good understanding of intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and project execution skills
- Advanced Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across finance and non-finance teams
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a drive for continuous improvement
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, and internal control frameworks
- Team player with the ability to work independently and manage priorities
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is advantage
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit (preferably in an international environment)
- Experience in shared service centers, multinational corporations, or Big 4 audit firms is an advantage
- Familiarity with tax compliance and cross-border reporting is desirable
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
