Purpose of Role:
The Repo Trading Assistant supports the US Repo Desk and assists with all aspects of support for sales and trading. Primary focus of role is on day-to-day deliverables, developing solutions based upon subject expertise and occasionally representing the relevant department at a broader level across the group.

Capital Markets is a division of Marex offering a range of products and services to clients as well as to internal trading desks.
Responsibilities:
- Support trading and sales for repo business, including:
- Execute and book tickets for daily margin calls.
- Execute trade tickets.
- Resolve trade discrepancies.
- Work across departments internally to insure proper trade details and settlements.
- Work with senior trading and sales colleagues to acquire in-depth knowledge of repo markets.
- Support data analytics for daily reporting.
- Train for, and successfully pass, FINRA licensing tests.
- Ensure effective delivery of processes and project deliverables to the business and broad Company group.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
- Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
- At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct
- Carrying out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial and MSIL trading books
- Liaising with clients in US; clients include banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional, trading houses and other trading boutiques.
- To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
- To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
- To escalate risk events immediately
- To provide input to risk management processes, as required

- FINRA SIE, Series 7 & Series 63 preferred or ability to study for and successfully pass within 6 months of hire
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
- Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., business administration, finance, economics and/or a related field).
Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000 per year base salary and eligible for discretionary bonus.
