Position Overview

The Recurring Revenue and Renewals team is seeking a seasoned Renewal Specialist that will service both traditional license and maintenance customers, along with our growing portfolio of subscription and SaaS

customers. The Renewal Specialist will be primarily responsible for overseeing a renewal sales plan to protect and grow our recurring revenue streams while ensuring renewals are managed to a successful, on-time closure. The role involves working closely with internal departments such as Sales, Customer Success, Support, Finance/Legal, and Fulfillment. The right candidate will have a customer-centric attitude, be highly skilled in time management, and with great attention to detail. The position will report to the Director of Renewals in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver high-volume and/or complex renewals while handling continual customer requests and internal queries

    Work directly with customers and/or partners to negotiate the renewal, including pricing and service-term discussions

    Maintain high levels of data quality in our CRM tool through attention to detail and comprehensive updates

  • Establish and keep a consistent cadence when quoting and reporting on renewals
  • Be the main point of contact for an assigned renewal portfolio; familiarizing yourself with the products and customer use cases
  • Identify possible expansion (upsell) opportunities to generate additional revenue that may be present during the renewal cycle
  • Own your pipeline; providing accurate and timely updates to management and other key internal stakeholders
  • Proactively recognize issues that may impact a renewal and quickly identify resources to help resolve the issue (s)
  • Educate internal and external customers on business practices and contractual implications

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar or related function, including SaaS or Cloud-based renewals and/or customer care with a technology company
  • Comfortable reviewing and understanding software contracts and agreements
  • Basic level of familiarity with Salesforce.com and Power Business Intelligence (PBI) reporting
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of team members in various time zones
