The Role

Proofpoint is seeking a self-starting, responsible, and highly motivated Renewal Sales Account Manager to join our rapidly expanding APJ team. This highly visible, hands-on role is critical to driving customer satisfaction and ensuring successful subscription renewals across a growing customer base.

You will work closely with Sales Account Owners, Sales Engineers, Channel team, and Customer Success to manage the full renewal lifecycle. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, results-driven, and able to engage with both senior-level business leaders and technical stakeholders across small to large-scale enterprises.

This role will be based in Sydney, Australia.

Your day-to-day

  •  Own and manage the full renewal process for your assigned territory
  • Drive the qualification, quoting, and workflows alongside Account Managers and Regional Directors to close renewals efficiently
  • Accurately forecast renewal revenue on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis using Salesforce, Clari and other tools
  • Meet or exceed customer renewal revenue quotas and churn targets
  • Coordinate internal resources to support renewal execution and customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at both executive and operational levels
  • Proactively identify risk and resolve customer issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain a sharp focus on customer retention and actively work to reduce attrition
  • Research and understand customer organisational structures and maintain account intelligence in Salesforce
  • Track implementation, support activities, and customer engagement metrics
  • Stay informed about Proofpoint’s market position and competitive landscape
  • Create customer quotes, maintain accurate data, and ensure accuracy via Salesforce and other CRM and finance tools

What you bring to the team

  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate Proofpoint’s value proposition
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive independently and as part of a regional and global team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
  • Proven ability to coordinate internal resources to support complex sales and renewal strategies, pricing and process
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web conferencing platforms
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Clari and other online sales tools
  • 3+ years of successful experience in account management, business development, or SaaS renewals
  • Experience working with Cybersecurity teams, Channel Partners, Legal, and Procurement departments
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience preferred
