Openings available for Renewable Energy - Senior Advisory Consultant at Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Atlanta, GA: Responsible for supporting the development of regional energy market reports and act as an external customer-facing consultant working with one or more Hitachi Energy’s Solution sets. Enhance Hitachi Energy’s strategic consulting capabilities within the renewable developer community with best practice consulting advice. Establish client contacts at a senior level and work with end-users at a strategic level and coach them. Provide insight to Hitachi Energy product managers for software tool improvements and roadmaps for client use in best practices and valuable reports. Lead consulting projects of high complexity. Model renewable, energy storage, hybrid and/or co-located resources, electric vehicles, demand response, and distributed energy resources. Develop energy, capacity, ancillary services and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) price forecasts for the North American power markets. Analyze and present a coherent narrative around regional power market trends.
- Requires a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, business, mathematics, or a related field and 3 years of experience modeling North American power markets including macro-economic factors influencing those markets.
- Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Consulting, including implementing energy solutions;
- Identifying and managing project issues and risks, including mitigation strategies and plans; and
- Working in power production simulation and developing energy, capacity, ancillary services, and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) price forecasts for the North American electricity markets.
- Position reports to Atlanta, GA, but may telecommute from any location in the U.S.
- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
