JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of the Program Manager Product Delivery, you will be part of a dynamic team who lives by Green Dot’s Core Values: High Performance, Trust, Action, Teamwork and Stewardship. 

The Program Manager is a results-driven individual with proven success in optimizing project and program management by delivering solutions within the agreed scope, budget, schedule and quality leveraging multiple delivery methodologies.
This role requires leadership, together with customer focus, driving engagement, conflict management, adaptability, strong negotiation and effective communication to bring the right focus while effectively optimizing delivery, based on business priorities.
You may work with both internal and external partners and will engage with team members across the US and other international locations. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
 

  • Oversight of large, complex, cross -functional initiatives related to a shared outcome.  Generally, includes oversight of the delivery of new features or programs that are complex in nature and require multi-discipline teams with an overall all cost to build greater than $4M

  • Responsible for oversight of partner portfolio of projects including the total budget to support delivery of related initiatives. 

  • Overall management, tracking and reporting program deliverables in support of new business or product capabilities, ensuring on time and on budget delivery per commitment, adherence to compliance and quality standards, and alignment to the objectives and key results of the business case.

  • Manage the objectives, scope, and success criteria of transformational initiatives.

  • Effectively leverage subject matter experts, senior leadership, key stakeholders, and other resources necessary to accomplish business objectives, influence leaders and executives.

  • Understand and apply best practices and other optimization approaches to evolve the operating model. Evaluate and implement opportunities to improve speed to market in product and/or new partner implementations. 

  • Drive efficiency and performance improvements of the team through lessons learned- adoption and implementation. 

  • Act as a change agent to drive acceptance of our required frameworks and process methodologies. 

Program Management

  • Manage and optimize the processes and tools by which PMO team delivers business value.  Participate and drive process improvement where needed.

  • Owns oversight of the overall delivery plans for enterprise-level, highly complex projects or programs (including multiple projects) directly assigned, from planning through implementation, launch and support, by working with a cross-functional team including (but not limited to) Product Management, Technology, Business and Operations to support the definition and quality release of project/program delivery. 

  • Can manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Drive E2E cross-functional execution and ensure that results are delivered on-time with high quality, in accordance with stated business and technical objectives.

  • Adhere to both our project management framework (PDLC) and the software development life cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures ensuring we meet our change management regulatory obligations. 

  • Provide project or program management leadership, guidance, and day-to-day execution support for strategic projects, ensuring technology initiatives are executed on-time, on-budget, on-scope, and with expected quality.  This can include customer-facing implementations.

  • Ability to frame and drive complex, cross-organization decision making while taking the short and long-term cause and effect of decision outcomes into account.

  • Advanced business acumen

  • Resource and financial forecast management for multi-project and program level initiatives.

  • Capture and actively manage project risks/issues and the execution of risk mitigation/contingency plans and any necessary escalations.

 Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of demonstrated project management experience

  • Proven track record of delivering on large scale/program level initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of the program delivery, including planning, capacity reviews, budget management, forecasting, scope management and delivery execution.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions and strategies

  • Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to take complicated subjects and distill them down to salient points to drive decision making

  • Experience building complex Project and Program artifacts including Project Charters, comprehensive project plans, milestone views, status reports, issues, risks and contingency plans, etc.

  • Advanced Presentation/Facilitation skills required

  • Negotiation and tactful influencing skills at all levels required

  • Exemplary Written and Verbal Communications

  • Serve as a change agent for the organization

  • Waterfall and Agile Experience required

  • Proficient in MS Office tools

  • Prior experience using PPM tools to drive day-to-day project delivery

Preferred

  • Fintech or banking industry knowledge/experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • PMP Certification

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $134,100 to $201,100 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
