JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Third Party Client Onboarding and Monitoring to lead our efforts in ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. This individual will oversee the onboarding process for third-party clients, manage ongoing monitoring, and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with money laundering and financial crime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for client onboarding and monitoring processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.

  • Onboarding Processes: Design and implement robust client onboarding processes, including KYC (Know Your Customer) measures, risk assessments, and due diligence procedures for third-party clients.

  • Monitoring and Compliance: Oversee ongoing monitoring of third-party relationships and transactions to detect potential AML risks, ensuring timely identification and reporting of suspicious activities.

  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with third-party clients and develop strategies to mitigate those risks in alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • Policy Development: Develop, review, and update AML policies and procedures to remain compliant with changes in regulations and best practices.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure a coordinated approach to AML efforts.

  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance awareness of AML compliance requirements and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on onboarding and monitoring activities, risks, and compliance status to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.

  • External Partnerships: Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulators and third-party vendors, to enhance audit and compliance efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in AML compliance, client onboarding, and risk management, focusing on third-party clients.

  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, KYC processes, and industry best practices.

  • Proven track record in leadership, team management, and building effective relationships across the organization.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $157,600 to $240,800 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
