Meet the Team:

Regional Reliability Engineer will collaborate closely with both the U.S. based Operations, Quality, PLM and Design Engineering teams as well as the local Contractor Manufacturing (CM) teams on all aspects facilitating ongoing reliability testing (ORM/ORT) and results analysis in support of local manufacturing quality engineering. This would include overall CM reliability quality and reliability systems training, product reliability and qualification verification, NPI/GA readiness, debug/yield support, ECO support, and repair/customer failure analysis support to expedite time to market and revenue ramp of high bit rate optical transponders while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Your Impact:

         

  • Provide initial reliability systems training and expectations on all new process/product elements to primary CM trainers.

  • Review extended CM training plan and training records as needed    

  • Confirm vendor and product qualification activity is compliant with all requirements

  • Provide oversight for all special requirements and material deviations needed

  • Confirm results and corrective actions with Product, Process and Test Engineers

  • Communicate and confirm CM quality requirements and drive use of quality metrics, 8D data and continuous improvement actions to allow avoidance or rapid resolution of any quality issues the full product lifecycle.

  • Drive more effective use of the 8D data to improve the local processes in both NPI and sustaining areas

  • Ensuring continuous improvement with respect to process and/or product is conducted in accordance with agreed engineering change order (ECO) and product change notices (PCN)

  • Collaborate to set internal yield and customer OOB testing requirements

  • Support resolution of critical vendor issues with CM and Product engineering

  • Support priority resolution of customer impacting issues

  • Review of all SPC/FEMA/quality results.

  • Monitor outgoing product quality (SPC/Yield analysis, ORM/ORT results etc.)

  • Performs quality verification on random samples as needed

  • Support audits of all types (customer audits, vendor audits and internal CM audits) with quality sample verification including facilitation of on-going reliability testing/monitoring (ORT/ORM) and OBA activity as needed 

  • Support communication and analysis of customer failure information and facilitate generation of final reports to customers with RCA and corrective actions and final FA or 8D reports review to confirm closure of corrective actions at CM and Vendor sites.

  • Ensure quality systems and best practices are in place and stable for all new product launches working with cross-functional teams to confirm process stability and volume Ramp and RMA readiness.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS degree or equivalent experience in quality, engineering, or other relevant majors.

  • Outstanding problem solving skills with strong statistical data analysis skills and ability to drive solutions through multi-functional teams.

  • Excellent written and good verbal communications skills in English required.

  • Ability to travel regionally in Asia and occasionally to the US as needed.

  • 2+ years of experience optical transceiver and/or electronic silicon wafer processing.

  • Prior experience with failure analysis required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment is helpful.

  • Six Sigma Certifications with Quality Management Tools experience preferred.

  • Statistical Analysis for Six-Sigma with DMAIC processes and/or FMEA/Design of Experiment (DOE)/Hypothesis Test/ANOVA experience a bonus.

  • Reliability engineering experience with Telecom class of products is an asset.

  • Proficiency in Thai is a strong expectation.

Skills Required
