Responsibilities

Essential Functions
•    Developing and implementing regular maintenance strategies and schedules based on predictive and preventative maintenance data. 
•    Conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify why systems or components failed.
•    Designing and executing reliability tests to ensure that equipment operates in accordance with its specifications and safety standards. 
•    Collaborating with other engineering and maintenance teams to integrate new technologies and methods that increase reliability and performance. 
•    Using statistical tools and software to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve system reliability and performance
•    Preparation of reports and documentation to record findings and to make recommendations to senior management. 
•    Overseeing capital projects that improve safety and reliability for equipment and facilities systems.
In addition to the core responsibilities, reliability engineers also engage in several critical task that support their main objectives:
•    Monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance interventions and system modifications to achieve baseline improvements in asset reliability. 
•    Applying reliability engineering principles and best practices across various projects and processes. 
•    Maintaining clear communication with suppliers and technical teams to ensure the reliability requirements are met in new designs and upgrades. 
•    Overseeing the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and total productive maintenance (TPM).
•    Establishing and maintaining a database for tracking performance failures and improvement measures. 
•    Other duties as assigned 
 

Qualifications

Education and Experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, industrial, electrical, or chemical engineering, is preferred. 
•    Advanced degree or certifications in reliability engineering or related fields can be advantageous.
•    Hands-on experience with statistical software, failure analysis methods, and predictive maintenance tools.
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with expertise in using various diagnostic tools.

•    Safety-conscious: the ability to identify potential hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them.
•    Analytical thinking: ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to work with large sets of data and make sense of them. 
•    Technical aptitude: a strong understanding of systems, equipment, and processes at hand. 
•    Problem solving: the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solution to complex problems. 
•    Communication: ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
•    Project management: the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively including planning, scheduling and organizing. 
•    Data management skills: the ability to use statistical analysis tools as well as the ability to interpret and communicate results of the analysis.
