Join us as a Release Train Manager
- Join a fast‑paced and Agile environment, you’ll facilitate the planning, timing and execution of delivery roadmaps and pipelines within and across our domain platforms

What you'll do
As a Release Train Manager, you’ll develop and maintain the release train, including preparing and reviewing release and environment strategies. You’ll build a deep understanding of vision, plans and interdependencies across multiple teams, bringing them into alignment so portfolio and domain pipelines remain synchronised.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with product owners, domain and platform leads and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategy and delivery. You’ll encourage collaboration across teams, value streams, domains and centres of excellence, helping everyone understand how their work contributes to better customer outcomes.
Other responsibilities include:
- Driving continuous improvement through Agile coaching, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and exploring alternative delivery approaches
- Using Agile tools and techniques to optimise delivery flow and the rate at which programmes deliver business value
- Building and communicating release calendars and iterative planning cycles, coordinating with other release train managers across domains
- Facilitating the preparation of release and sprint visions, goals and work pipelines, including pre‑ and post‑planning events
- Supporting the execution of business outcomes, features and capabilities by reporting on progress, escalating risks, and tracking impediments

You’ll also demonstrate the ability to:
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership across engineering delivery teams, drawing on a strong software engineering or development management background to drive alignment to customer, platform and programme outcomes, while actively supporting delivery execution and resolving technical risks
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology solutions, combining technical credibility with pragmatic application of Agile, Waterfall and scaled delivery practices to achieve predictable, high-quality outcomes
- Build strong relationships across engineering, architecture, product, operations and platform teams, using deep technical understanding to influence prioritisation, solution design, planning, dependency management and delivery decision-making
- Bring proven experience leading software engineering teams, with strong understanding of modern development practices, software development lifecycle, cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, DevOps tooling and customer-facing digital platforms
- Act as a catalyst for engineering excellence and continuous improvement, operating comfortably at both strategic and day-to-day levels, coaching teams, challenging approaches where appropriate and supporting the successful delivery of complex technology outcomes
