Find your purpose as a Release of Information Assistant I as CentraCare. As a ROI Assistant I you will processes simple to moderate requests for the release of health information in an organized, efficient, and confidential manner. You'll be responsible to have knowledge of current release of medical information regulations set forth by the State of Minnesota, the Federal Government, HIPAA, and HITECH. Responsible to correspond to insurance companies, representatives, patients, medical and legal offices, and attorneys. Responsible for billing of medical records sent to requestors and maintain all ROI work queues.
Schedule:
- Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:00p
- Onsite at the CentraCare Plaza, St. Cloud or Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting pay is $17.93 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
- Pay range: $17.00-$25.54 per hour

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; Post High School Degree in a medical records related field is helpful but not required.
- 1 years of medical record experience is required.
- Experience with Release of Information is preferred.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent prioritizing and problem solving skills required. Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Computer knowledge and keyboard skills required.
- Must be knowledgeable in the area of confidentiality and release of information standards.
