About the Role

Our client is a growing lending organisation that provides working-capital financing solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.

The organisation is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Relationship Manager to acquire, onboard, and manage SME clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing a quality loan portfolio, guiding clients through the loan process, driving timely repayments, and building strong long-term customer relationships.

This is a target-driven role for a professional with experience in lending, financial services, B2B sales, client acquisition, or relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, acquire, and onboard eligible SME clients.
  • Build and manage productive relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Guide clients through loan applications, documentation, verification, approval, and disbursement processes.
  • Drive portfolio growth by achieving assigned monthly loan-disbursement targets.
  • Monitor client repayment behaviour and follow up on due and overdue obligations.
  • Maintain high-quality client relationships while promoting responsible lending and sound portfolio performance.
  • Work closely with relevant internal teams to ensure timely loan processing and an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client, pipeline, disbursement, and repayment records.
  • Provide market intelligence, client feedback, and competitor insights to support product improvement and business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit, documentation, customer-management, and reporting processes.
  • Prepare periodic reports on client acquisition, portfolio performance, disbursements, repayments, and pipeline activity.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in sales, relationship management, SME lending, credit, microfinance, or financial services.
  • Demonstrable experience acquiring and managing business clients.
  • Good understanding of lending, credit assessment, loan documentation, and repayment processes.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a client pipeline, and consistently achieve assigned targets.
  • Strong attention to detail, commercial judgement, integrity, and customer-service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates resident in, or able to commute conveniently to, Ibeju-Lekki and surrounding locations will have an advantage.

  • Strong loan-repayment and recovery performance across the assigned portfolio.
  • Acquisition, activation, retention, and growth of quality SME clients.
  • Accurate documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with lending processes.
  • Professional, responsive, and client-focused service delivery.


Benefits

  • Gross Monthly Salary: NGN250,000
  • Transport and Call Allowance: NGN30,000 monthly
  • Quarterly performance-based bonus

    Skills Required
