The Client Business (CB) team is responsible for understanding the financial needs of the largest Institutions across APAC and translating these into commercial opportunities for our business. The team works with a wide range of clients including official institutions, insurers, banks, and pension providers to offer the full range of BlackRock active funds, ETFs and alternatives products. The APAC team is based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Australia, South Korea and Japan, and works closely with colleagues around the globe to deliver the best of BlackRock to APAC Institutional investors.

Our Korea Client Business team is currently seeking a professional to service our growing client base. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients to offer BlackRock’s investment solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a dedicated relationship manager for institutional clients in Korea to lead sales effort and client engagement initiatives

  • Collaborate closely with the team to cultivate, manage, and deepen relationships with Korean institutional clients. As your responsibilities expand, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and forging strategic partnerships to grow both public and private market assets

  • Strengthen existing client relationship and be the primary point of contact for our clients by having a deep understanding of our client’s needs.

  • Represent the firm with confidence and credibility to articulate the full value proposition and breadth of offerings across the firm

  • Work closely with regional teams to drive sales campaigns and business solutions for institutional clients and project-manage strategic initiatives to further build up Firm’s brand awareness amongst the clients and prospects.

  • Interact with global stakeholders on Korea institutional business development, collaborate and seek synergy covering regional/international agencies who have a Korea presence.

  • Formulate, own and execute growth strategy of key client relationships.

  • Localize and implement global best practices to meet the needs of the Korea market.

Key Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in relationship management in financial services with a strong preference for direct experience in asset management services/solutions.

  • Experience working with Korean investors who invest in global financial markets.

  • Deep understanding of investment products either public market assets or private market assets

  • Self-motivated, positive and open-minded individuals with the ability to think strategically to drive new business in a long term.

  • A strong team player who can work across borders and cultures. We are looking for team players who can collaborate internally and leverage the Firm's resources and global infrastructure to deliver the best-in-class service to our clients.

  • Self-motivated individual with a commitment to excellence.

  • Superior communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

  • Team-oriented with a positive improvement mindset.

  • Native Korean and proficient English communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
