Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting Production & Review

  • Assist the preparation, review and submission of regulatory returns across U.S. Bank Europe DAC and associated European entities.

  • Ensure submissions are completed accurately and within regulatory deadlines.

  • Perform detailed reconciliations and analytical reviews between regulatory returns, general ledger balances, risk systems and management information.

  • Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies, data quality issues and validation exceptions.

Regulatory Interpretation & Change Management

  • Support the interpretation and implementation of new regulatory requirements issued by:

  • European Banking Authority (EBA)

  • European Central Bank (ECB)

  • Central Bank of Ireland (CBI)

  • Local European regulators

  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on existing reporting processes and systems.

  • Participate in regulatory reporting projects including CRR/CRD developments, taxonomy upgrades, system enhancements and business change initiatives.

  • Contribute to regulatory reporting framework enhancements and control improvements.

Governance & Controls

  • Maintain a strong control environment supporting all reporting activities.

  • Ensure procedures, methodologies and control evidence are properly documented.

  • Support internal audits, external audits and regulatory reviews.

  • Prepare evidence and documentation required for governance committees and regulatory examinations.

  • Escalate material issues and risks in accordance with established governance processes.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Analyse large data sets to identify trends, anomalies and reporting impacts.

  • Partner with Data Governance, Finance, Risk and Technology teams to improve data quality.

  • Support implementation of data lineage, data controls and data governance initiatives.

  • Develop management information and reporting metrics to enhance oversight of regulatory processes.

  • Utilise technology and automation tools to improve reporting efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Qualifications & Experience Essential

  • 3+ years' experience within:

  • Regulatory Reporting

  • Financial Reporting

  • Treasury Reporting

  • Risk Reporting

  • Banking Finance

  • Strong understanding of prudential banking regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Advanced Excel skills / Data Management Skills.

  • Experience performing reconciliations, control reviews and analytical assessments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR or statistical reporting.

  • Experience with regulatory reporting systems and data warehouses.

  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Python or other analytical tools.

  • Experience working with European banking regulators.

  • Knowledge of CRR, CRD, EBA reporting frameworks and ECB supervisory expectations.
