RESPONSIBILITIES
A Regulatory Affairs Lead oversees assigned functions/projects to achieve objectives and operational goals. Acts as subject matter expert to clients or prospective clients regarding regulatory products/services. While continuing the duties of Senior Regulatory Specialist, this job operates at a higher level as described under Job Responsibilities. This specific position will act as our primary liaison between Regulatory and the AI Labs/Digital, Product, and Software Engineering teams regarding automation projects for continuous process improvement.
- Develops guidelines and procedures to ensure success in assigned functional area. Employs in-depth specialized and practical expertise regarding relevant theory, practice and procedures relevant to consulting disciplines. Capable of addressing unique problems facing the business and/or the client from a position of expertise.
- Contributes to client projects by interacting regularly with clients in meetings and project reviews. Addresses client concerns to resolve client issues.
- Acts as a resource and source of guidance, counsel and expertise for colleagues with less experience. Serves as a mentor to more junior colleagues.
- Serves in thought-leadership role. Plays a leadership role including leadership of complex projects and/or project teams including accountability for on-going activities or objectives. Leads projects and/or projects with a notable importance, size, risk and/or complexity; develops the strategy for project execution. This specific position will act as our primary liaison between Regulatory and the AI Labs/Digital, Product, and Software Engineering teams regarding automation projects for continuous process improvement.
- Acts as a source of authoritative information. Presents findings and summaries in the field of relevant topics both internally and externally. May represent the company at industry related functions such as seminars, conferences and trade shows. May represent UL in technical and industry events by publication of articles, presentation of findings, and dissemination of knowledge to the technical community. Serves as a recognized expert within UL which requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in their own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines.
- Provides support to the Sales team for client demonstrations and presentations.
- Integrates continuous improvement and safety culture in all aspects of the job.
- Reads and follows the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follows all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a University Degree (equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Toxicology, or equivalent professional studies with 10-15 years' experience in relevant EHS&T areas. Advanced degrees with less relevant EHS&T experience accepted.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems, Programming Specialist. Additional certifications in Data Science and Microsoft Professional Program for Data Science preferred.
- Supervisory experience and/or demonstrated success in project management preferred.
- Exceeds expectations while performing daily job functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of global and domestic Regulatory Affairs/Product Stewardship.
- Regulatory Affairs Lead with Computer Information Systems and Data Science Experience.
- Demonstrated effective time management, handling and prioritization of multiple projects or streams of work and ability to appropriately delegate.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and customers.

- Business travel may be required.

Total Rewards: All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 20% of the base salary.All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation.
