About the Role

As the Regional Talent, Capability and Inclusion Manager, you will lead an integrated agenda that strengthens organisational performance and enables future business success across Alcoa’s Australian operations. Reporting to our Australian HR Director and based in our Perth corporate office, you will partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners and global HR Centres of Excellence to identify workforce and leadership requirements, address critical capability and succession needs, and translate business priorities into impactful talent, leadership, organisational capability and workforce development strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead the regional Talent, Capability and Inclusion strategy, aligning global frameworks with regional business priorities, workforce plans and future organisational needs.
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners and Global HR Centres of Excellence to design and deliver integrated talent, capability and inclusion initiatives that strengthen organisational performance, leadership effectiveness and workforce readiness.
  • Lead regional talent and organisational capability reviews and annual planning cycles, assessing workforce capability, leadership readiness, talent risks and development priorities to inform strategic workforce decisions.
  • Deploy global and shape regional learning, leadership and career development frameworks, programs and initiatives that build critical capabilities, accelerate growth and support sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Champion and lead the regional Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) agenda, driving strategic initiatives, accountability and measurable outcomes that strengthen inclusion, enhance employee experience and support business performance.
  • Leverage workforce insights, talent analytics and governance frameworks to inform decision-making, measure impact and continuously improve talent, capability and inclusion outcomes.

What you can bring to the role

  • Advanced experience in talent management, organisational development, learning and development, leadership development or a Human Resources leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing talent, succession, leadership, capability and inclusion strategies in complex operating environments.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to address workforce capability requirements, succession risks and organisational performance priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary talent management, learning, organisational development and inclusion practices, supported by commercial acumen.
  • The ability to use workforce analytics, talent insights and organisational data to shape strategic priorities and practical workforce decisions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing, facilitation and executive coaching capabilities, with the ability to lead change across multiple functions and operational environments.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, Business, Learning and Development or a related discipline is preferred.
