The Regional Solutions Specialist - Pumping is a technical and operational Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting complex pumping, bypass, dewatering, fluid transfer, and integrated liquid management projects across an assigned region.

This role operates at the intersection of Sales, Operations, Fleet, and Customer Solutions. The Regional Pumping Solutions Specialist partners closely with Branch teams, Sales, TSG, and customers to develop practical, safe, efficient, and cost-effective pumping and fluid management solutions that help win work, improve execution, reduce operational risk, and expand market share.

This is a highly visible, field-oriented role requiring deep technical pumping expertise combined with strong operational understanding and commercial awareness. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder and problem solver who brings credibility to both customers and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Pumping & Fluid Solutions Leadership – 35%

  • Serve as the regional technical SME for:

o Pump systems

o Bypass pumping

o Dewatering systems

o Fluid transfer applications

o Temporary piping systems

o Filtration and containment integration

o Specialty liquid management solutions

  • Support design and development of complex pumping and fluid management systems across industrial, municipal, environmental, infrastructure, and construction applications
  •  Evaluate system requirements including:

o Flow rates

o Head calculations

o Friction loss

o Pipe sizing

o Fluid characteristics

o Site conditions

o Suction/discharge requirements

  • Recommend optimized equipment configurations and pumping strategies
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support on critical projects and field challenges

Sales Partnership & Business Development – 25%

  • Partner directly with Sales teams to support strategic and technically complex opportunities
  • Participate in customer meetings, site walks, project reviews, and solution development discussions
  • Assist with estimating, system configuration, technical proposals, and scope development
  • Help identify and drive cross-selling opportunities between pumping, containment, filtration, environmental, and specialty service offerings
  • Support growth within key vertical markets and strategic accounts
  • Build customer confidence through technical expertise, responsiveness, and operational credibility

Operational Support & Project Execution – 20%

  • Support Branch Operations and field teams during planning, mobilization, startup, and execution phases
  • Assist with commissioning, startup troubleshooting, and system optimization
  • Provide field support on complex pumping projects and emergency response work
  • Partner with Operations teams to improve execution consistency, safety, and efficiency
  • Serve as escalation resource for technically challenging field issues and customer concerns
  • Training, Technical Development & Best Practices – 10%
  • Train Sales and Operations teams on pumping systems, applications, and best practices
  • Develop technical reference materials, application guides, and operational playbooks
  • Share lessons learned and field insights across branches and regions
  • Support standardization of pumping and fluid management best practices throughout the organization

Fleet, Innovation & Strategic Support – 10%

  • Partner with Fleet and Operations leaders to identify equipment gaps, utilization trends, and fleet optimization opportunities
  • Recommend new technologies, specialty pumping equipment, and emerging liquid management solutions
  • Provide market and customer feedback to support long-term commercial and operational strategy
  • Support development of differentiated technical capabilities across the business

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in:

o Pumping systems

o Fluid management

o Dewatering

o Bypass systems

o Industrial services

o Specialty equipment rental

o Environmental or infrastructure solutions

  • Deep understanding of:

o Pump curves

o Flow dynamics

o Friction loss

o Pipe systems

o Temporary bypass systems

o Dewatering applications

o Fluid characteristics and system behavior

  • Strong operational and field execution knowledge
  • Experience supporting industrial, municipal, environmental, or infrastructure projects

Skills Required
