The local finance teams in each market oversee core functions including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while adhering to local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in each market. They support both regional and global leadership by providing timely financial insights, performance analysis, and guidance on business decisions. Additionally, the team maintains strong internal controls, coordinates audits, manages cash flow and working capital, and drives alignment with global finance standards and processes across all LATAM entities.
THE JOB
The Regional Senior Finance Director – Latin America is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations across the LATAM region while acting as a strategic partner to the Regional Vice President, LATAM and CFO. This individual will drive financial performance, ensure robust governance and compliance, and support the execution of strategic growth initiatives across the region. The role balances hands-on financial oversight with forward-looking strategic leadership, helping to scale the business while maintaining strong financial discipline.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
• Partner closely with the Regional Vice President, LATAM, to drive regional strategy, growth initiatives, and operational excellence
• Act as a key advisor to the CFO on regional performance, risks, and opportunities
• Provide financial insights and modeling to support investment decisions, market expansion, and new business initiatives, working closely with the Managing Directors in each country
Financial Management & Reporting
• Oversee all regional accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results in alignment with global standards
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the region
• Monitor financial performance against targets and drive corrective actions where needed
• Drive regional initiatives to surface financial data and reporting through centralized regional business reporting, working closely with the LatAm strategy team.
Compliance, Controls & Audit
• Ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and corporate policies across all LATAM entities
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks
• Lead coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring timely and successful completion
• Oversee statutory reporting and filings across multiple jurisdictions
Operational Oversight
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
• Manage cash flow and treasury activities within the region
• Ensure effective cost management and operational efficiency
Team Leadership
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing regional finance team
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Align regional finance teams with global finance objectives and best practices
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CA, or MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within multinational organizations
• Strong experience managing finance operations across multiple LATAM countries
• Deep knowledge of local statutory, tax, and regulatory environments in the region
• Proven track record of partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution
• Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-country environment
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities
• High level of integrity and commitment to compliance and governance
• Fluent in Portuguese and English and conversational in Spanish
