We are looking for a Regional Senior Accountant to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. You will be based in Colombia (Bogota or Medellin preferred). You will lead the monthly close process, preparation, and reporting of local Financial Statements and Tax returns, and the forecasting and budgeting processes, across certain entities in the Americas region. You will report to the Regional Finance Director.
- Help with the local month-end close processes and maintenance of general ledgers.
- Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting deliverables, including reconciliations, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
- Analyze accounting data to produce financial insights and forecasts.
- Oversight and support of daily finance operations within the Americas Region.
- Prepare, record, and adjust Journal entries. Process, research and record invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations to guarantee an accurate monthly accounting close process, including the review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and regulations.
- Work with local Vendors to help prepare local statutory financial statements for relevant assigned entities, along with participating in any required financial statement audits.
- Work with local Vendors to assist with the preparation and review of Tax filings on a monthly/quarterly basis (including VAT returns).
- Identify and assist with process improvements projects across the Americas Region.
- Help with special projects based on the needs of the finance department.

- BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent working experience required
- Relevant professional qualification in finance such as CA/ACCA/CPA required
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience required
- Business proficiency in the English language required
- In-depth understanding of month close, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Experience in corporate tax preparation and local statutory accounting reporting in other countries such as Canada, Brazil, Mexico, or Argentina is highly preferred
- Experience in foreign currency transactions, and understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite experience preferred
- Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary integrity and professional conduct
