Regional Sales Engineer/Regional Senior Sales Engineer (MY/SG)
(Based in Malaysia)
ORGANISATION: This position will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in Malaysia and Singapore, supporting existing customers, and acting as a techno-commercial representative for the company’s products in the Food, Beverage, and Biopharma markets. This is a commercially focused role suited to a proactive and independent sales professional who enjoys customer interaction, business development, and identifying opportunities in the market.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development: Actively drive sales growth by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities in the Food, Beverage, and Biopharma sectors. You will take a hunter sales approach to market development, follow up on leads, build relationships with prospects, and promote the company’s separation technology solutions to customers across Malaysia and Singapore.
Pre-Sales: Develop and build relationship with prospects and customers, identify their technical and business requirement, and contribute to growing business. Support the sales team in their regional sales activities at the pre-sales stages. Prepare costing estimates for designed solutions and applications, make pricing calculations, and prepare proposal documents.
Technical Expertise: Transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers with a consultative approach educating them on return on investment, equipment specifications, warranty, cost comparison etc. Make technical presentations and demonstration to prospects and customers.
Customer Management: Respond to incoming enquiries of existing customers and prospects. Keep customers updated with new product and solution offerings. Update and maintain customer related calls, visits, and sales related activities in company CRM system.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial). Chemical Engineering degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years’ experience in machinery (preferably food, beverage or pharmaceutical) or related industrial machinery.
- A hunter mentality with the drive and confidence to identify new opportunities and build business proactively
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to various stakeholders.
- Technically competent and passionate about understanding and meeting the clients’ requirements.
- Socially confident, proactively able to build relationships with customers to explore opportunities for sales.
- Analytical and good in visualizing clients’ requirements and coming up with solutions.
- Comfortable with travelling across Malaysia and Singapore
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
