Overview & Responsibilities

Elliott Company’s Houston, TX, office seeks a Regional Sales Manager to successfully lead our sales team to achieve assigned booking targets for parts, field service, repair and rerate/mods bookings within assigned sales region. Duties include: (i) coordinating sales team efforts, interfacing with product line and operations, business planning and communication; (ii) controlling assets of company in the form of sales personnel, effectively utilizing this asset to maximize business potential in an assigned area; (iii) supervising a regional sales team, including skill evaluations, product training programs for each individual and confirming that activities are in line with Elliott Group objectives; (iv) acting as Lead sales person for Service Products in region with key corporate or targeted accounts; (v) providing input into the development of new products that, based on market intelligence, could be successfully sold in the sales region; (vi) analyzing market trends, activity and gathering marketing intelligence on products, industries, competition and customer practices that can be used to create and reinforce our market strategies; (vii) Risk mitigation by leading terms negotiation, compliance reviews and commercial conditions that are acceptable to the business; (viii) Outlook / forecast and planning responsibility for the territory targets; and (ix) Pipeline creation through strategies and initiatives implementation, keeping and updating them periodically on the CRM system.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related position.

Experience must include five (5) years: (i) working with turbo machinery equipment, including centrifugal compressors and steam turbines; (ii) preparing annual sales territory analysis along with preparing and presenting customer repair and overhaul service proposals; (iii) working with rotating equipment, including but not limited to compressors, turbines, pumps, and gearboxes; (iv) calling on service market and aftermarket sectors, including but not limited to manufacturing plants and repair shops; and (v) outlook / forecast and planning responsibility for the territory targets.

Must also have three (3) years of experience creating, maintaining, and closing customer equipment repair opportunities in a data system.

Must also have any experience with or knowledge of mechanical equipment design, operation, application, and maintenance as well as Petro Chemical and Refinery Industries and typical related processes.

Experience can be concurrent.

Must be able and willing to travel internationally and domestically to various unanticipated employer and client locations up to 50%.
