We are looking for a high-energy, driven, and strategic Regional Sales Manager to champion our sales team in Jacksonville, Florida. If you love leading top-tier sales talent, building lasting customer relationships, and making an impact in a thriving market, we want you on our team.
As our Regional Sales Manager, you'll be the ultimate coach, strategist, and growth driver for our Jacksonville market. You will work closely with Facility and General Managers to turn bold market goals into reality.
Key Responsibilities:Lead & Inspire: Recruit, train, and coach a passionate sales team. Conduct periodic field assessments and host regular performance check-ins to set your team up for win after win.
Master the Market: Analyze customer and industry trends, stay ahead of competitive pricing, and build strategic, winning proposals for major accounts.
Build Relationships: Travel throughout your assigned territory to connect with prospective and long-time clients, understanding their needs and showing them the GFL advantage.
Drive Business Strategy: Develop market plans, retention strategies, and bid preparations, while keeping our CRM running smoothly.
Collaborate & Innovate: Help identify prospective acquisition candidates, assist in budget planning/forecasting, and promote new waste stream and environmental service solutions.
Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in the waste or environmental services industry (or an equivalent mix of education and industry experience).
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (preferred).
Leadership Drive: A natural ability to coach, direct, and elevate sales representatives to peak performance.
Business Savvy: Solid numerical/financial chops (calculating margins, commissions, algebra/geometry application) and strong report-writing skills.
Communication Power: Excellent verbal presentation and interpersonal skills—you know how to connect with anyone, from frontline team members to executive clients.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for territory travel.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
On the Move: Work involves regular driving across the assigned territory and extended sitting, as well as periodic outdoor exposure to Florida's weather conditions.
Physical Abilities: Comfortable standing, sitting, walking, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
