The Regional Sales Manager targets potential account for market share and revenue growth.  Generates and maintains critical corporate level relationships with existing and potential customers in the Refining, Chemical, and Power generation markets, make technical presentations, coordinate with inside sales team, Engineering, and Operations to deliver a world class service to our clients.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Provide information about assigned district for the preparation of the Sales & Service North America business plan and implement actions that will achieve annual year over year growth of the district’s business as measured by revenue, market share and profit.
  • Direct and manage team of Sales professionals to grow revenue by securing new business in new markets and expanding business with existing clients.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor sales personnel to enhance product knowledge, strategic selling capabilities, and execution discipline, while driving accountability, performance improvement, and long-term professional growth across the district.
  • Create an organizational culture and work environment that attracts, retains and motivates a skilled work force. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the decision makers at key accounts.
  • Report monthly results and forecasts to Regioniial Director, explain variances, and plans to grow positive variances and to reduce and eliminate negative variances.  Report assessment of business risks and plans to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure relationships with customers are managed and the company is professionally represented.  Personally call on key accounts to maintain and secure long-term business relationships.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales, design or service with technical components used in the Oil and Gas, Chemical or Pulp and Paper industry.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role managing direct reports preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an environment that demands accuracy, thoroughness, and analytical reasoning preferred.
  • Experience in rotating equipment industry highly preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills required to manage multiple tasks.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Takes initiative to drive to sales targets, self-starter, and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with a diverse group in a global company is a plus.
