Job Description

Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial partnerships, implementing sales strategies, driving market penetration, managing sales teams, optimizing product portfolio sales, establishing operational plans, and managing talent to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and strategic objectives in a specific market or region. The role oversees the sales team, collaborates with cross-functional teams for seamless execution and deploys a sales and distribution strategy to optimize market penetration. The role manages a product portfolio, identifies new customers and implements clear strategies aligned with market conditions to support sales efforts. The role establishes key sales and operations plans, ensuring compliance with business processes and policies.

Job Responsibilities:
• Oversees commercial partnerships with customers in a specific country or key market, ensuring revenue growth, fostering strong customer relationships, and negotiating contracts to maximize market share and profitability.
• Implements sales strategy and Sales Plan, encompassing sales forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) execution to drive revenue growth, optimize market opportunities, and ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
• Oversees the sales team, closely collaborating with cross-functional teams and market stakeholders to drive sales performance, align strategies, and ensure seamless execution of market initiatives.
• Deploys a sales and distribution strategy, works in close cooperation with other functions to ensure cohesive execution, optimize market penetration, and drive revenue growth through integrated and strategic approaches.
• Oversees a small product portfolio by improving sales and margins with existing direct and indirect customers, identifies new customers within the defined strategy, and expanding business opportunities to drive growth and strategic objectives.
• Implements clear and achievable strategies, objectives, and tactical plans based on market segmentation, customer needs, and market conditions, ensures alignment with short-term strategy plans to effectively support and drive sales efforts.
• Establishes key sales commercial and operations plans by defining processes and strategies for distribution, contracting, business planning, sales compensation, forecasting, budgeting, and KPI selection.
• Ensures uncompromised implementation of Philips business processes, quality standards, and business conduct policies, oversees compliance performance and addresses compliance issues, to support effective management review.
• Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements to maintain operational efficiency and effectiveness for a function/region/business.
• Manages talent across the team, while driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and ensuring effective operational management.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree Business Administration, Project Management, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and team management
  • Min 7+ years in clinical diagnostics sales, government/corporate accounts, or Public-Private Partnerships.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as Customer Relationship Management, Sales and Business Development, Account Management in B2C environment or Government sales.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Skills Required
