The Regional Sales Manager, EMEA is responsible for developing and owning the growth plan for their assigned territory, selling the Nanomedicine, Cytiva line of instruments, consumables, and support services directly to life science segments such as biotech, biopharma, translational, and academia. The Regional Sales Manager will collaborate with the Account Manager (AM), Workflow Development Leader (WDL), their Field Application Scientists (FAS), Scientific Inside Sales Specialists (ISS), and Service Sales Specialists to maintain and grow the territory. This includes working with existing accounts as well as prospecting for new customers.

This position reports to the Modality leader, EMEA, and is part of the Nanomedicine Business Unit at Genomic Medicine OpCo at Cytiva Germany, and will be fully remote.

What will you do:

  • Plan and execute regional strategy to achieve orders and sales within Nanomed product lines and services, besides participating in growth initiatives
  • Manage territory forecasts and funnel for accurate visibility and timely closure in the CRM system, drive proactive sales to meet regional targets; hunt and expand, besides cross-selling across xBU/xOpCo within RNA Workflow and Cell Therapy Workflow.
  • Meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through the development and execution of a region and account-specific sales plan using techniques, including but not limited to value selling
  • Successfully navigate and manage complex sales negotiations. Successfully engage and manage a multi-step sales process for both capital instruments and consumables while liaising with stakeholders, including C-suit
  • Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in consultative sales processes. Deliver technology and applications overview presentations, often in tandem with your FAS, to articulate Nanomed, Cytiva value propositions based on the needs of the customer, facilitates resolution of customer issues by demonstrating a strong broad base of knowledge in business processes, Nanomed, Cytiva solutions, and domain expertise, besides liaising with internal stakeholders, including, and not limited to, Product management and operational teams

Who you are:

  • A degree in a Life Sciences discipline is required. A PhD and strong nanomedicine knowledge or cell/molecular biology background are assets
  • Considered experience in a commercial role, preferably in the biotechnology industry; Plus five years of experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work directly with customers at all levels within the organisation, from Process Development scientist to C-Level
  • Demonstrated aptitude towards the selling process and a proven team player

 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Ability to travel more than 40 % within the territory or locations
  • Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Nanomedicine applications and Bioprocess, filtration, and genomics Cytiva technologies
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities through successful execution
  • Success in cross-functional collaboration
  • You speak fluent English; German would be a plus.
